Hello everyone!  I decided to post a couple of polls today.  One of which I think I already know the outcome of... and another of which will effect future order decisions of doujinshi.  The second poll will only include groups that we've released the work of but I will put in an 'other' option if you've seen raws of groups you'd like us to look into.  Anyway, I hope for some good feedback and I hope you all enjoy the polls! ^^

It's been well over a year since this journal was last used.  Almost since Silver Lining moved to its community.  For those of you who don't know me I'm Tsuki from the scanlation group Silver Lining.

Looking at this journal I feel bad that it's been all but abandoned with all of our posts going on the community and I'd really like to do something to keep it at least somewhat active.  However I also know that a lot of people added this journal to your friends list and I don't want to randomly spam people's friend feeds so I'm not entirely sure what to use this journal for now...

That's why if you have any suggestions feel free to comment here!  I can discuss scanlation-related stuff here (downloads would still be community though), I can talk about random interests/about me stuff, or something else that I can't think of because I'm too lame to come up with better ideas _ _;

And even if you don't have a suggestion, how about you use this post to tell me which of Silver Lining's releases has been your favorite over the past 2 1/2 years we've been in operation?  I really love to hear people's opinions of our releases and why they enjoy them ^^

Well, it's been almost 3 weeks since we've moved to our new community!  As you may have noticed all download links have been removed from this journal and I will soon be removing the list of completed projects as well.  The current and future projects will remain updated for the time being.

For those who are joining our new community who haven't been accepted, this is due to one of many reasons that I will list below.  Trust me that our qualifications are very lenient so it should be quick and easy to meet them.

There is nothing in your journal - no posts, no icon, no updated interests or having joined other groups.  This is just to make sure it's a real person who's actually interested who's trying to join.  As long as you meet one of those requirements you'll be approved to join.  Simple, yes?
Your e-mail is not validated - If this is your problem then there's nothing I can do, livejournal won't let me add you to the community.  So please validate your e-mail!

With that said, thanks to everyone who joined!  It really makes us feel loved! :)  I hope that you will continue to support us and we shall work to continue delivering delicious doujinshi to you!  I hope you look forward to the upcoming releases!

Hello everyone!  First off I would like to announce how wonderful all of our supporters are for making doing scanlations worthwhile!  It really does give me great joy when I read your comments on how much you enjoyed our releases.

With that being said, however, we've come to a point where we have decided to make a number of changes.  The biggest of which is: WE'RE MOVING!!!  That's right, Silver Lining will not be posting any further releases here but will rather be posting all of our future releases at our New Community.  The new community is member-access only, however, which means please join the community to have access to our releases.  And as a result of our new protections for our releases we will soon be taking all of our releases down off of this journal so please update your bookmarks so they take you to the community instead!  It was fun while it lasted, but we've grown enough that the staff feel that a community is better suited for our needs then a private journal.  It even comes complete with a new layout featuring my newest obsession though so it's worth moving over there!

And with the added security measures I am making an announcement that will probably be less happily accepted, and that is that our releases are NO LONGER ALLOWED OFF OF LIVEJOURNAL with the exception of Aarinfantasy from this day forward.  Regardless of whether you have received permission in the past, unless you are another scanlating group translating any of our projects into another language this rule applies and I will ask my staff to inform me if they see any of our releases where they're not supposed to be.  Okay?  Thanks!

To other scanlation groups:  I will be keeping our current project list and future project list updated for the next month or so as we let everyone transition over to the new community.  However after then I will be taking most everything down from here so please make sure you join our new community so you'll be able to see what we're working on!

Well, perhaps not dire, but there truly won't be any releases in the future unless we can get some help.  Unfortunately, as of now there are no active type-setters in Silver Lining.  Myself and Peppo have become too busy to type-set and will be focusing on translations primarily, Kuroi is no longer able to serve as a type-setter, and both yuki and evil-sama are on hiatus which leaves Silver Lining with... no one.

So currently any project listed as "In Type-setting" is on hiatus until someone becomes available.  And in order for that to become sooner rather than later I have come to you, our supporters, in the hopes that someone feels confident enough in their skills to join, or even temporarily join, Silver Lining as a type-setter.  If you're wondering what is involved you can check our staff page to the left and look at our projects for the expected condition.  Experience is preferred but not required.

We could really use the help to get us through this hectic period!  I will be eternally grateful to anyone who can offer help with even one project.
